The restaurant Jacob & Gabriel is by far the best fine dining restaurant in Telemark, it is owned and operated by the incredible chefs Lars Ludvig Jacobsen and Thor Ingo Gabrielsen.
While working at R8 Edge I got asked to have a look at their branding, and after doing some research I had a workshop with the team where we tried to figure out the personality of the restaurant. The words we ended up with was Passion, Rebel and Fun.
After hanging out with the team for a while, seeing the chaos of opening a new restaurant, creating new dishes and also observing the workflow and techniques in the kitchen it became clear to me that making great food and great design have a lot of similarities.
